Getting Around Town
Airport to Downtown
SuperShuttle: Managed by the Pittsburgh Transportation Group, SuperShuttle service is available from Pittsburgh International Airport to the Omni William Penn, DoubleTree City Center, and Westin hotels in downtown Pittsburgh.

A one-way fare costs US $19.00; however, attendeees of the SSR Annual Meeting will receive a US $2.00 discount off a round-trip fare (normally US $36.00) by typing the group code PKHKZ in the “Group/Discount code” box when booking online.
The service desk for the shuttle is located near the rental car counters on the lower level baggage claim area, and is identified by a large “SuperShuttle” sign. Hours of operation are from 9:00 am to midnight, 7 days a week, although shuttle service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you arrive after the desk closes, there is a kiosk available at the counter where you can print boarding passes or make a reservation, if you haven't already made one.

Car Rental: Pittsburgh International Airport has a number of car rental agencies with customer service counters on the baggage claim level of the Landside Terminal, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. Please visit the following link for more information:
Public Bus Service: For USD $2.60*, travelers can ride a bus from the airport to downtown Pittsburgh in approximately 40 minutes. Please visit the Port Authority of Allegheny County web site at:
Downtown Pittsburgh
Public Bus Service: A “Free Fare Zone” has been established by the Port Authority to promote the use of transit within Downtown Pittsburgh. This zone is defined by the following boundaries:
- The Allegheny River
- The Monongahela River
- Ross Sreet, Bigelow Square, Penn Station, Liberty Ave @ RR overpass and 11th St.
Fares are free within this zone from the first scheduled city arrival after 4:00 am through the last scheduled city departure time before 7:00 pm, seven days a week. After the 7:00 pm scheduled city departure, riders are required to pay a $1.50 Downtowner Zone fare. Please click on the picture below for a map:
