The presentation will be delivered by Dr. Nathalie Josso (Institut Paris-Sud sur les Cytokines, INSERM, Clamart, France), who was a student with Dr. Jost and participated in his pioneer work.
A special invitation is extended to Trainees to attend this luncheon at a discounted rate of $10.00.

This year’s symposium will feature Professor Tyrone Hayes, UC Berkeley. Dr. Hayes will discuss his work on the pesticide atrazine, one of the most common environmental contaminants, which acts as an endocrine disruptor to demasculinize and feminize male gonads. Dr. Hayes has an impressive record of giving talks to a wide variety of audiences using contemporary means, such as youtube.com and TED talks. He gave the 2010 E.E. Just Lecture at the annual meeting of the American Society for Cell Biology, where he delivered a paper on how the academy can become more supportive of minority scientists. The symposium will be linked with a luncheon, to encourage interaction and discussion between the attendees and Dr. Hayes.
