Adobe Reader Documents

Adobe Acrobat

This site makes extensive use of PDF forms and documents that were created with Adobe products. To view and print these forms, you'll need to download a free version of Adobe Reader. If you already have Reader on your computer, you do not need to download it again. If you print them out from the Adobe Reader on A4 paper, you will need to select the “shrink-to-fit” option. You may also have to use this option if you print on paper that is either narrower or shorter than the original size (mostly 8-1/2"x11").

Registration

Pre-registration for the 46th Annual Meeting of the SSR is now available. Attendees may pay for their registration by credit card, check, money order, or bank transfer. Purchase orders are not accepted. Pre-registration will close after Friday, 28 June. Registration forms received in the mail after 28 June will not be processed until the meeting starts in Montréal. Registration will be available on-site at the meeting.

Everyone entering the 2013 SSR meeting space must be registered for the meeting and wear a meeting badge; there will be no exceptions. Guest badges will be available on site at the SSR Registration Desk.

Registration Fees

The cost of registering for the Annual Meeting depends on whether you are a current member of the Society. Members of the Society are eligible for discounted registration. If you are unsure of your current membership status, please contact the SSR Membership Office. Trainees (undergraduate and graduate students) are eligible for an additional registration discount, regardless of current membership status.

Questions about Registration

Should I renew my membership?

Yes. Members of the Society receive a discounted registration rate. The online registration form will offer you the option of renewing if you were a member in 2006–2012 but your membership has since lapsed. If you were a member of the Society prior to 2006, and have not renewed since then, please contact the Membership Department for a renewal form (remember to tell us your name and whether you are a student, so that we can prepare the proper form for you). For more detailed information about membership renewal, please see our Membership Renewal page.

Developing Countries
Members who renew their memberships while registering online will not be given the opportunity to take advantage of the 2013 Developing Country Discount. If you are from a Developing Country (see list here) and would like to take advantage of the Developing Country Discount when renewing your Regular or Associate membership, please renew your membership before registering for the meeting; see our Membership Renewal page.

Will I receive the member discount if I become a member?

Yes. If you would like to apply for a new membership, please see our New Membership page.

I am a trainee, and would like to bring a guest to the Barbeque. May I buy two tickets at the trainee price?

No. We are delighted to have guests at the Barbecue, but the discounted $30 price is available only to trainees registered for the meeting. You may buy only one $30 ticket, but as many $60 tickets as you like for spouses/guests.

I would like to register online, but my university requires that I submit a receipt.

When you complete the online registration process, you will be given the option to print out a receipt. If you forget to print out a receipt, please contact the Registration Department and we will send you a receipt.

My university will pay for meeting registration, but I will pay for an event/meal/item.

The best way to handle this is to print out our printable registration form twice, then submit a separate form for each method of payment. You could also register online with with the credit card of your choice, then send in the printable registration form with your secondary payment information—we will amend your existing registration when we receive the secondary payment. You cannot register online with one credit card, then register online a second time with a different credit card; we apologize for the inconvenience.

I would like to pay by wire/bank transfer

The SSR accepts payment by wire/bank transfer. Please fill out the printable registration form, check the appropriate form of payment, and send it to us so that we can identify your payment when it arrives. You must add an additional $25 to cover bank transfer charges.

May I bring a guest to the Trainee/Mentor Luncheon?

No. The Trainee/Mentor Luncheon is a professional event intended only for Trainees who have registered for the meeting.

I am a trainee. May I attend the Heritage Luncheon?

Absolutely; the Heritage Luncheon is open to all meeting attendees and their guests. The fee for the luncheon is $10 for trainees.
