SSR 2014 Registration

Pre-registration for the 47th Annual Meeting of the SSR is no longer available. Registration will open on-site at the meeting on 19 July 2014. 

Welcome! You may now register for the 47th Annual Meeting of the SSR. You may pay for registration by credit card, check, money order, or bank transfer. Purchase orders are not accepted.

Pre-registration will close after Friday, 20 June 2014. Registration forms received after 20 June will not be processed until the Meeting starts in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Registration will be available on-site at the Meeting.

Everyone entering the 2014 SSR meeting space must be registered for the Meeting and wearing a 2014 meeting badge; there will be no exceptions.

*Nonmember trainees must submit a signed statement from their major
professor or mentor to qualify for the trainee discount.

The cost of registering for the Annual Meeting depends on your membership or career status. Members of the Society are eligible for discounted registration, while trainees (undergraduate and graduate students) are eligible for an additional registration discount, regardless of current membership status. If you are unsure of your current membership status, please contact the SSR Membership Department.

Registration fees cover the following:

  • Attendance at all scientific sessions.
  • Attendance at the Opening Reception (7:00–8:30 p.m., Saturday, 19 July).
  • Attendance at the Diversity Lunch Symposium; pre-purchased tickets are required for the accompanying lunch (12:15–1:45 p.m., Sunday, 20 July).
  • Light breakfast, Sunday–Tuesday.
  • Morning and afternoon beverage breaks, Sunday–Tuesday.

Registration Forms

Pre-registration for the annual meeting is no longer available. Please register on-site at the meeting.

If you were an SSR Member at any time during the last eight years (2006–2014), the Online Registration Form will assign an appropriate registration rate for your membership type (Regular, Trainee, Emeritus, etc.), using your e-mail address to identify you. If your membership has lapsed, you will have the opportunity to renew your membership and qualify for a discounted registration rate. If you were an SSR Member prior to 2006 and wish to renew to qualify for the discounted registration rate, please contact the Membership Department for a renewal form before registering for the Meeting.

Developing Countries
Members who renew their memberships while registering online will not be given the opportunity to take advantage of the 2014 Developing Country Discount. If you are from a Developing Country (see list here) and wish to take advantage of the Developing Country Discount when renewing your Regular or Associate membership, please renew your membership before registering for the Meeting; see our Membership Renewal page.

Single Day Registration will be available on-site at the meeting. Single day rates will be:

Meeting Check-in

Registration packets will contain a receipt of payment, name badge, and vouchers for special purchases; packets will be distributed at the SSR Pre-registration site.

Cancellation

Refunds, less a $25 service charge, will be issued for cancellations received in writing on or before 20 June 2014. Cancellations received after 20 June and before 8 July will be subject to a service charge of USD $75. No refund will be issued for cancellations received on or after 8 July 2014. Refunds will be issued within four weeks after the Annual Meeting has concluded.
