Membership Information

Membership in the Society is open to individuals or organizations demonstrating active interest in the field of reproduction and related areas. Membership is conferred upon approval by the Membership Committee and is activated upon payment of dues. All members receive electronic access to the Society's publications and are invited to the annual and special meetings of the Society.

The Public Affairs Committee invites members to include a membership badge in presentations when speaking at meetings. Our members are our best advertisement, and showing that you, an accomplished reproductive scientist, are a proud member of the SSR will help spread the word about the society. To save the full-size badge, right-click on the image, select “Save Link/Target/Image As,” navigate to the desired folder, and click “Save.”

If a Trainee Member has been awarded a doctoral degree in the last year (congratulations!), he/she must contact the SSR Business Office before attempting to renew online. The SSR Business Office must update the Trainee's record, so that the online system will assess the correct dues.

A Mentor Signature Form signed by the Trainee's mentor or major professor must also be submitted to the SSR Business Office (address information is on the form). Trainee memberships will not be renewed until this statement is on file.

Developing Countries Discount

Regular Society members who are living and working in developing countries may request a 50% discount membership dues. Members should consult the list of developing countries to determine eligibility. Regular members who renew online may use the promotion code "DEVELOP" to automatically receive a discount; members who request a renewal form to renew by mail or fax will be provided with a form with the correct dues amount.

Request a Renewal Form

Members who do not wish to renew online, or who have not had an active membership in the last seven years, should request a Membership Renewal Form from the SSR Business Office.

Please tell us how you would like to receive the form (e-mail, fax, or postal mail) and provide your current e-mail/fax/postal information.

Multi-Year (Regular Members only)

Regular Members may renew for multiple years (up to three) at 2018 membership rates. Please contact the SSR Business Office to receive a customized membership renewal form. This offer is not available to other member types.

All current members who wish to change their Membership type must submit a Change-of-Status form.

Publication Requirement

Current Trainee Members wishing to transition into 2017 Regular member status are exempt from the publications requirement if they have been a Trainee Member for two or more years and have presented two or more abstracts at past SSR Annual Meetings.

International Trainee Members wishing to transition 2017 Regular member status are required to have presented at least one abstract at a past SSR Annual Meeting and at least one abstract at a regional meeting. Nominees must submit evidence of such participation (e.g., a reference or link to the program listing of the abstract presented at the meeting).

The publication requirement has been dropped completely for 2018 membership.

Early-Career Dues Option

Additionally, Trainees who were 2017 Members transitioning to Regular Member status may renew their membership for both 2018 and 2019 for the cost of a single year's Regular Membership dues. After dues payment has been made, the renewal confirmation notice will ask whether the payment is to count for both 2018 and 2019 membership, or for 2018 alone.

Please Note: Trainee Members transitioning to Regular Member status who are eligible for and request the Developing Countries discount are not eligible for the Early-Career Dues Option.

Regular Members

Regular Members in retirement with at least ten years of Regular Membership in the Society may ask the Executive Director to petition the Board of Directors to grant them Emeritus status.
