Reproduction
Reproduction, edited by Tom Fleming, publishes original research articles and topical reviews on the subject of reproductive biology. Its focus is on cellular and molecular biology of reproduction, including the development of gametes and early embryos in all species including the human; developmental processes such as cell differentiation, morphogenesis and related regulatory mechanisms in normal and disease models; assisted reproductive technologies in model systems and in a clinical environment; reproductive endocrinology; and reproductive physiology. Emerging topics including cloning, the biology of embryonic stem cells, environmental effects on reproductive potential and health, and epigenetic effects on reproductive and developmental processes are encouraged.
Reproduction is committed to supporting the scientific community. Publishing in Reproduction does not incur page charges and colour plates are free. They are committed to rapid publication times, aided by the web-based online submission and review system, ScholarOne Manuscripts. Reviews are free to all online immediately on publication and all papers are freely available one year after publication. Papers are published online with HighWire Press at www.reproduction-online.org ensuring maximum dissemination and providing full links to PubMed and papers published in other HighWire journals.
Reproduction is the official journal of the Society of Reproduction and Fertility (SRF). The Society’s charitable status means that any proceeds from the Journal are returned to the research community through the organization of scientific meetings, provision of travel grants and summer studentships. A new section, Research Highlights, publishes original manuscripts reporting major discoveries or advances in a particular field of reproductive biology. Manuscripts accepted for publication as Research Highlights will be given priority for rapid publication.
The new Reproduction-online Archive is now available free to all reproductive biologists worldwide. The Archive includes 65,000 pages and 8,500 articles from Volume 1 of the Journal of Reproduction and Fertility in 1960 to 2000 when the journal merged with Reviews of Reproduction to form today’s journal.
SSR members are able to subscribe to 12 issues of Reproduction at a reduced rate of $295 for the print journal and online access. To do so, download the Reproduction Subscription Form, fill it out and mail or fax it, along with payment, to:
