Committee on Reproduction and the Environment
The Reproduction and the Environment Committee was formed in 2002 in response to increasing concern among scientists, the public, and elected officials that alterations in the environment resulting from human activity may be detrimental to reproductive health and fertility in people and in domestic and wild animal species. The charge to the Committee is to deliberate whether SSR should target “reproduction and the environment” more substantively through its various functions and activities and then to make recommendations to the Board. The potential exists for SSR to be recognized for its leadership in addressing the impact of a changing environment on reproductive health.
