Traveling to State College

University Park Airport

State College is served by the University Park Airport (airport booking code: SCE), a regional airport located minutes from the Pennsylvania State University campus. University Park Airport flights arrive from Washington/Dulles, Detroit, and Philadelphia, and will sell out quickly. Arrange travel early if you wish to fly directly to State College. University Park is serviced by the following airlines:

For attendees flying into the University Park Airport, a shuttle will be running between the airport and campus between 10 AM and Midnight on Saturday, August 11, and Sunday, August 12. The shuttle is free and will be located outside the terminal. A member of the SSR Local Arrangments Committee will be at the airport to direct you to the shuttle.

Car Rental Available at the University Park Airport:

Alamo/National Car Rental      814-237-1771
Avis 814-237-9750
Hertz 814-237-1728

Bus Service from Baltimore/Washington Intercontinental Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

Due to the low number of responses, SSR will not provide shuttle service between the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Aiport and the Pennsylvania State University campus in State College, Pennsylvania. We encourage attendees to look into transportation by Amtrak train or Megabus and Greyhound busses if they prefer to fly into an airport other than University Park Airport at State College.

Those who have already purchased a bus ticket will be contacted by the SSR office to make alternate arrangements.
