Adobe Reader Documents

Adobe Acrobat

This site makes extensive use of PDF forms and documents that were created with Adobe products. To view and print these forms, you'll need to download a free version of Adobe Reader. If you already have Reader on your computer, you do not need to download it again. If you print them out from the Adobe Reader on A4 paper, you will need to select the “shrink-to-fit” option. You may also have to use this option if you print on paper that is either narrower or shorter than the original size (mostly 8-1/2"x11").

Endocrine Disruptors

Nuclear Receptor Resource

The Nuclear Receptor Resource (NRR) Project is a collection of individual databases on members of the steroid and thyroid hormone receptor superfamily. Although the databases are located on different servers and are managed individually, they each form a node of the NRR. The NRR itself integrates the separate databases and allows an interactive forum for the dissemination of information about the superfamily.

Endocrine Disruptors Web Site

The European Commission explains endocrine disruption; reviews the governments use of the precautionary principle to regulate chemicals and products; and presents news and documents relating to the EC's studies, assessments, and conclusions regarding endocrine disrupting chemicals.

e.hormone

The e.hormone web site, hosted and run by the CBR, has been enhanced to accommodate all web-related products of Environmental Signaling Network (ESN) activities. It is a hub of scientific and media information about environmental signaling. The ESN benefits from and builds upon this active, online communication vehicle through which interested parties remain informed and connected.

Louis Guillette Jr. Personal Website

The mechanisms by which environmental factors influence the evolution, development and functioning of the reproduction system in vertebrates is the focus of my research.

Endocrine Disruptors Research Initiative

Evidence suggests that environmental exposure to some anthropogenic chemicals may result in disruption of endocrine systems in human and wildlife populations. A number of the classes of chemicals suspected of causing endocrine disruption fall within the purview of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) mandates to protect both public health and the environment. Although there is a wealth of information regarding endocrine disruptors, many critical scientific uncertainties still remain.

Endocrine Disruptors

In July, an EPA committee met in Chicago. Their problem: are synthetic chemicals causing hormonal chaos?
