Affiliate Memberships

For SSR Members

The SSR has invited several notable societies from under-represented groups to become Affiliate Members with SSR. This membership category is offered to individuals who are members of SSR-partner societies. This list of partner societies is provided below. Individuals of these societies who do not wish to become full members of SSR may become affiliate members. 

Affiliate SSR membership offers the following benefits:

  • Direct access to the SSR online community (member portal)
  • Access to SSR e-newsletters and other electronic messages
  • Early notification of call for abstracts and awards
  • Listing in the SSR searchable member directory

*Affiliate SSR membership does not offer additional benefits of a regular member, which include discounts for publication in Biology of Reproduction, discounts for annual meeting fees, and the privilege to nominate, vote and hold office and serve on committees.

Affiliate Societies:
Brazilian Embryo Transfer Society (SBTE)
The SBTE conferences cover a broad range of science and technology topics, including: in vivo cattle models, animal welfare, in vitro production of bovine embryos, oocyte and embryo quality, sperm selection techniques, cryopreservation and international embryo trade.

Society for Reproductive Biology and Comparative Endocrinology (SRBCE)
SRBCE is one of the oldest Society of Comparative Endocrinology and Reproductive Biology. The SRBCE is one of the most regular, vibrant scientific societies in India.

Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction (ASPIRE)
ASPIRE is a unique task force of clinicians and scientists involved in the management of fertility and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). ASPIRE aims to promote awareness of infertility and ART, and to improve infertility-related services in the Asia-Pacific region.

Society for Reproduction and Development (SRD)
This Society was established in 1948 to encourage the study of reproductive biology in wild, domestic, laboratory, and companion animals. Members of this society have played a key role in developing techniques for artificial insemination, fertilized egg transfer, and in vitro fertilization to increase the productivity of animals. Currently, members are actively involved in developing new technologies, such as transgenic techniques and cloned animals. They are also involved in endocrine disruptor research.

Japanese Society for Reproductive Medicine (JSRM)
The objective of the Society is to publish research results, exchange of knowledge, provide information of basic and clinical research concerning reproduction of human beings and domesticated animals, for the development of academic studies and contribution to the welfare of human beings.

Affiliate SRB
Affiliate membership in the Society for Reproductive Biology (SRB) has been arranged to encourage closer links between SSR Members and their Australian and New Zealand colleagues, and has been designed to provide many benefits for SSR Members, including:

Affiliate membership in the SRB costs AU$60.

Note that full membership in the SRB is also available to SSR Members at AU$120. The additional privileges of full membership are:

  • Nominating, voting, holding office, and service on SRB committees.
  • Subsidized rate for electronic access to Reproduction, Fertility and Development.

For SRB Members

The Society for the Study of Reproduction and the Society for Reproductive Biology (SRB) have agreed to offer Affiliate Membership in each other’s respective Society to the members of the affiliate society. Our mutual purpose is to encourage closer links between SRB members and their SSR colleagues, allowing an open flow of news and ideas.

An Affiliate SSR Membership provides many benefits to SRB members:

  • Access to SSR e-newsletters and online communities
  • Online subscription to Biology of Reproduction (BOR)
  • Registration for the SSR Annual Meeting at the member rates.

To become an Affiliate Member of the SSR:

  • Complete the SSR Membership Application form (pdf) available on the SSR website
  • Email the membership application with $50USD in payment to You may also email to request a form be emailed to you.

Affiliate SSR Membership is $50 USD, and offers the following:

  • Direct access from member portal at SSR to the Biology of Reproduction (BOR)
  • Early notification of the Call for Abstracts and Awards
  • SSR Member rates for the Annual Meeting
  • Listing in the SSR searchable member directory
  • Access to SSR online communities

Affiliate SSR Membership does not offer the additional benefits of a Regular member which are:

  • Members rates for publication in the BOR journal (Regular member rate is approximately $650 and the non-member rate is $1,400 per article)
  • The privilege to nominate, vote, hold office and serve on SSR Committees

*Note that full Regular membership in the SSR is available to all affiliate members at the rate of $300 USD. You may convert the Affiliate membership to the full regular membership at any time by paying the difference in membership costs.
